The seventh anniversary celebration of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will be held today (3).
Giving priority to religious ceremonies, the Party’s anniversary celebration will be held today (3) under the Leadership of SLPP Leader, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and founder Basil Rajapaksa at the Party’s head office at Nelum Mawatha in Battaramulla.
There will be a Dhamma sermon with the participation of 100 Buddhist monks tonight and an alms giving to Maha Sangha tomorrow (4). MP Namal Rajapaksa said MPs, ministers and active members of the Party have been invited to this event.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna was started on November 2, 2016 under the leadership of the party’s national organizer and former Finance Minister, Basil Rajapaksa, marking a new turning point in the country’s political sphere.
