SLTB launches special office transport service from Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB)  has launched a special office transport service from the Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla along eleven routes to provide transport facilities for employees of state and private institutions located in Battaramulla and surrounding areas.

Spokesman from the SLTB said that bus services will operate from Sethsiripaya premises in Battaramulla to Kiridiwela, Yakkala, Katunayake, Padukka, Matugama, Horana, Avissawella, Nittambuwa, Colombo Fort, Dematagoda Railway Station and Kadawatha.

Transport Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi today inaugurated the new office transport service from the Sethsiripaya premises.

Due to the large number of public and private sector departments and institutions in Battaramulla, it has been decided to start this office transport service,” he said

The service will provide safe and convenient journeys for state and private sector employees during the pandemic situation.

Secretary to the Transport Ministry Monti Ranathunga and SLTB Chairman Kingsley Ranawaka also presented at the event.
