Soldier’s eardrum damaged by Major’s blow

A Lance Corporal was admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for treatment after he was hit on the ear by a Major for slamming the door of his jeep.

The Lance Corporal had dropped the major at his house in Panadura and when he was getting in the jeep to go back the Major has reportedly hit him saying he had slammed the door of the jeep.

The Lance Corporal had some difficulty after that and he had leaned on the jeep for a while and then had come back to the camp with the jeep.

Later he had developed pain and complications and had been admitted to hospital. The doctors have said his eardrum has been damaged.
