Special trains to Kandy from 26 to 30

The Railways Department said that four special trains have been deployed for the convenience of those visiting Kandy for the Kandy Esala Festival.Special trains service will operate from tomorrow (26) to August 30, Railways Superintendent M.J.Indipolage said.

Trains have been deployed from Colombo Fort to Kandy and back to Colombo Fort.

Indipolage added that trains will ply from Kandy to Matale, Kandy to Nawalapitiya and Kandy to Colombo Fort forthe people leaving after the festival.The fourth Kumbal Perahera was held last night (24).
