Sri Lanka Army clinch title at Delgoda Volleyball Tourney

An Invitational Day and Night Volleyball Tournament organised by the Delgoda Rantharu Sports Club was held at the Delgoda Public grounds recently.

The Champion team received the Sri Lanka Army Captain Jayasiri Perera memorial Challenge Trophy and a cash award of Rs. One Lakh while the runner-up received a trophy and a cash award of Rs. 75,000 Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Air force, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Army, Biyagama Ocen Lanka and Gampaha Siyane Tharu participated in this tournament.

The results: Champions – Sri Lanka Army team, Runners-up – Biyagama Ocen Lanka team.

Special awards – Best Passer – Prabath Dushmantha (Army team), Best Dasher – Mohamed Tishan (Ocen Lanka team), Best Player – Kaleyi Wellati (Army team)

Army skipper is receiving the champions trophy.
