Sri Lanka had lot of positives from the T20 series, says Dasun
Before this T 20 series I was not in top form but I am very happy with my present form said Sri Lanka cricket white ball skipper Dasun Shanaka after the third and final T 20 game against India at Rajkot,India.
The way my players played during this tournament there were a lot of positives. The players have improved. Good to see them playing very well especially when they were batting. I am not satisfied about our bowling especially in the third game and we should have do better in bowling.
Actually before this series I had an injury and I did not bowl enough in this series. But at the crucial moment of the deciding final over I took that responsibility and took two wickets for 4 to win the game. said Dasun Shanaka who was the MSM of the second winning game.
However I am expected to bowl more overs during the forthcoming ODI series which will commence on January 10 at Guwahati.
I always wanted to keep the players relaxed on the field but batting is a different game. Actually Suryakumar Yadav played a superb century at the last game and he was outstanding and took away the match from us. But what is important is to correct our mistakes and comeback strongly at the ODI series added skipper Dasun Shanaka.
The man of the match Suryakumar Yadav said there is lot of hard work involved and some quality practice sessions also helped to get this success.
The boundaries behind were 59-60m so I tried to clear them. Actually there are a few shots that are pre determined but you have to be ready for other strokes as well. Most of the time I tried to find the gap and used the field to my advantage .My coach Rahul Dravid said let me enjoy and told me to give of my best said Suryakumar Yadav who scored 51 ball unbeaten 112 to help India win the series.
The two teams will meet in the first ODI of the three match series tomorrow (10) in Guwahati,India. Sri Lanka team was scheduled to depart for Guwahati from Rajkot yesterday evening and they will have training session today.
