Sri Lanka Legends out to win the title this time
Asela Gunaratne, Dilshan Munaweera, Dilruwan Perera, and Mahela Udawatte have joined the Sri Lanka Legends team for this year’s Road Safety World Series starting on September 10th. Both all-rounders Asela of Army SC and Dilruwan of Tamil Union are already playing in the ongoing Major Clubs three-day cricket tournament and they are first time expected to play the Sri Lankan legends team.
The Sri Lanka Legends team is led by former Sri Lanka Test Captain T.M. Dilshan. The experienced Master Blaster Sanath Jayasuriya is the vice-captain of the Sri Lanka Legends team while he is also the team mentor and they have already commenced practices at the Colts grounds.
Former Sri Lankan cricketers Upul Tharanga, Nuwan Kulasekera,Chaminda Vaas and Dhammika Prasad will also representing the Sri Lankan Legends team. Dhammika Prasad the former paceman who now works in Nepal as a bowling coach has returned home to play for the Legends team. Tharanga is the wicket-keeper of the side. Shyam Impett is the team manager.
The Sri Lanka Legends team was the runner-up in the Road Safety World Series last time and now hoping to win this year’s tournament.
