Sri Lanka men’s Kabaddi team played a hard-fought game against Bangladesh before finally losing 38-40 at the Bangabandu Cup International Kabaddi tournament which is now in progress at the Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium Dhaka, Bangladesh. At halftime, Bangladesh were leading 18-17. However, both Sri Lanka and defending champion Bangladesh are already qualified for the semi-final from Group ‘A’.
Earlier Sri Lanka defeated Malaysia by 53-26 while they beat England more comfortably 44-19 in their league round matches to finish second in Group E with 4 points while unbeaten Bangladesh was on top of the group with 6 points.
Meanwhile, Iraq scored a thrilling one-point win over Nepal in their group match as the game ended with 33-32 while Kenya defeated Indonesia in their game 64-20. Meanwhile, Kenya Vs Nepal, Indonesia Vs Iraq, and Malaysia Vs England matches were scheduled for yesterday.
Kenya already having 4 points is heading for the semi final from Group B’ while Nepal and Iraq have one win each fight for the semi final from Group ‘B’.
