Sri Lanka lose to Saudi in Davis Cup opener
Sri Lanka put up a gallant performance before succumbing to Saudi Arabia 1-2 in their Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group-3 opening tie played at the SLTA Courts in Green Path, Colombo yesterday.
The visitors got off to a great start and took an unbeatable 2-0 lead by claiming the first two Singles before Sri Lanka recorded a consolation win in the Doubles encounter.

Saud Alhogbani beat Thehan Wijemanne 7-5, 6-0. Anmar Faleh beat Chathurya Nilaweera 6-3, 6-1. Thehan Wijemanne and Dhilvan Herath beat Ahmed Omar and Alfaraj Abdullah 6-3, 7-6, 10-8.
