Sri Lanka Men’s Volleyball team honuored

Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe praised the Sri Lanka Volleyball Association, mentioning that out of the 72 national bodies, the Volleyball Association is one of the cleanest and most trustworthy. He made these remarks as the chief guest during a special event held to honor the Sri Lanka Men’s Volleyball Team for their victory in the Central Asian Challenge Championship. The ceremony took place on November 6 at the Grand Monarch Imperial in Thalawathugoda.

During the ceremony, the Sri Lanka Volleyball Association recognized and rewarded the players and officials of the national men’s volleyball team. They also praised the support provided by several key figures, including Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe, National Sports Council Chairman Arjuna Ranatunga, Sports Ministry Secretary K. Maheshan, Director of Sports Development Department RB Wickramasinghe, Additional Director Rohan de Silva and Sports Medical Director Dr. Lal Ekanayake.

The Sri Lanka Volleyball Association offered a prize of five hundred thousand rupees (Rs 500,000/-) for the National Sports Fund on this special occasion.
