Sri Lanka plans to vaccinate children over 12

The Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (15) stated that the Government has planned to vaccinate children over 12 years of age against COVID-19 and the programme in this regard will be initiated step by step.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa was speaking at the inauguration of the Southern Province COVID 19 Child Care Unit at the Hambantota Hospital via video technology from Carlton House, Tangalle.

The Prime Minister also said that children with various complications would be given priority when vaccinating children.
