Sri Lanka to import rice for festive season

Sri Lanka will import rice. The measure has been taken in anticipation of the demand that will arise during the forthcoming festive season.

The cabinet has given approval to import Keeri Samba and Samba rice to meet the shortage during the upcoming festive season.
