Sri Lanka Tourism adjudged world’s best

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) at the Global Tourism Awards 2024 has won the Best International Tourism Board award.

Tourism and Sports Minister Harin Fernando who participated in the awards ceremony in New Delhi on August 2 arrived at the Katunayake Airport yesterday morning, August 3.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau has shown 100 percent growth from zero two years ago, and the promotions they have carried out in the world for Sri Lanka’s tourism industry was also evaluated there. Even during the off-season, 187,000 foreign tourists have come to Sri Lanka last month, and 1.2 million foreign tourists have come to Sri Lanka from January to August 1.
