Sri Lanka women’s team arrive in England for Masters WC Hockey

The Sri Lanka women’s over 40 hockey arrived in Nottingham to participate in the second Masters World Cup Hockey tournament from August 12 to 21 in England.
The 21-member squad led by former Army and national player Manoji Pradeepika received approval from the Sports Ministry and were sponsored by Hirdaramani Group. The players were accompanied by four officials.
Manager of the team Ruwaiza Sela expressed her gratitude to Dr Amal Harsha de Silva, Secretary, Ministry of Sports, for his encouragement, and Rakhil Hirdaramani, Group Director of Hirdaramani Group for producing a fantastic line of attire for the team.This is the second time they are participating in the World Cup having made their debut in 2018 Barcelona.
Sri Lanka are drawn in pool B with England, Germany, USA, Scotland, and Ghana in this 13-team competition. Argentina, Ireland, Spain, Wales, France, Czech Republic, and China.
