Sri Lankan students bag four Gold medals at SEAMO X 2025

Four Sri Lankan students, who represented Sri Lanka at the South East Asian Mathematics Olympiad global competition (SEAMO X 2025), won four Gold medals. The SEAMO X 2025 competition was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on January 18, 2025 with the participation of over 1,500 students representing 22 countries.

Of those participants four Sri Lankan students won 4 gold medals in respective age categories. They are Yasara Dissanayake of Kurunegala, Paper A, Gold medal, Global Rank 2, Nureshi Hettiarachchi of Kurunegala – Paper K, Gold medal, Global Rank 1, Methusha Balasooroya of Kurunegala, Paper K, Gold medal, Global Rank 6 and Niketh Rayon Nakandala of Colombo, Gold medal, Global Rank 12.
