Sri Lanka’s 100 leading listed companies have recorded a combined revenue increase of approximately 20% during the 2025/26 financial year, according to leading business magazine LMD.

Media Services, the publisher of LMD, revealed the top 20 companies in the forthcoming 33rd edition of the LMD 100 rankings, with Hayleys, John Keells Holdings (JKH) and LOLC Holdings securing the top three positions.

Hayleys retained the top position for the third consecutive year, reporting consolidated revenue exceeding Rs. 585 billion, reflecting a 19% increase compared to the previous financial year.

John Keells Holdings climbed from fifth to second place, recording revenue of nearly Rs. 529 billion, a significant increase of 67%.

LOLC Holdings secured third place with revenue exceeding Rs. 429 billion, marking a 26% increase.

Meanwhile, Commercial Bank of Ceylon moved up from seventh to fourth position, followed by Carson Cumberbatch in fifth place.

Bukit Darah secured sixth position, while Hatton National Bank, Lanka IOC, CT Holdings and Cargills (Ceylon) completed the top 10.

According to LMD, the overall revenue growth reflects improved performance among Sri Lanka’s leading listed companies amid the country’s ongoing economic recovery.

The approximately 20% increase in combined revenue comes against the backdrop of economic growth of nearly 5% in 2025 and inflation of around 5% during the latter part of the 2025/26 financial year.

However, Media Services cautioned that stronger corporate revenues represent only one aspect of the recovery, noting that profitability varies among companies and that domestic and external economic risks remain.

The forthcoming LMD 100 annual edition will feature the complete rankings and profiles of several leading listed companies.
