The SriLankan Airlines’ Cargo team picked up the ‘Emerging Cargo Airline’ award at the recent first-ever Arabian Cargo Awards in Dubai, organized by Middle East’s leading cargo magazine, CargoTalk.
The event honoured star performers in the cargo and logistics community of the Middle East, and reinforced SriLankan Cargo’s position as a growing constant in the air trade links between South Asia and the Middle East.
“We ensured that the nomination and voting process for this first event was error-free and that there was total transparency between the candidates that participated in this event, and we look forward to a long and fruitful association with the institutions that we recognized for their contribution to the Middle Eastern cargo and logistics trade,” stated Abigail Mathias, Senior Journalist, Cargo Talk Middle East Magazine.
Chaminda Perera, General Manager, Cargo of SriLankan Airlines, commented on the win stating, “With Middle East establishing itself as a major trading hub, SriLankan Cargo is only eager to continue supporting the trade routes between the region and South Asia and beyond with an expansive network, seamless flight connections and a superior service.”
SriLankan Cargo has been providing connectivity across the Middle East, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Far East and Australia.
