St. John’s, Panadura and Lyceum, Wattala into final

St. John’s College Panadura and Lyceum International School Wattala entered the final of the Under 19 division 2 Tier A Inter schools limited Overs cricket tournament.

St. John’s College Panadura beat Sri Sumangala College Panadura by 8 wickets in the semi final played at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket stadium on Saturday (9).

Match was delayed by wet ground conditions and restricted for 34 overs per side. Sri Sumangala College Panadura bowled out for 61 runs in 26 overs. St. John’s College Panadura scored 62 runs for 2 wickets in 15.5 overs.

Second semi final match between Lyceum International School Wattala and St. John’s College Jaffna was abandoned due to rain at the same venue yesterday. Lyceum International School Wattala advanced to the semi final according to average points in the previous round.

St. John’s College Panadura will meet Lyceum International School Wattala in the final on December 17 at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket stadium.
