St Mary’s Church celebrates annual feast

The 50th anniversary of St. Mary’s Church, Uswetakeiyawa, Wattala and the 202nd annual church feast will be held on September 16 and 17.

All arrangements for the anniversary and church feast are being overseen by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Nimal Jayantha.

The Vespers service will be held tomorrow (16) at 7.30 pm presided over by the Most Rev. Dr. Maxwell Silva, Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo, and the Feast Mass on Sunday (17) at 8.00 am presided over by Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith.

Rev. Fr. Gihan Gunathilaka, Director of the Family Apostolic Service of the Colombo Archdiocese, performed the spiritual preparations for the feast from the day the flag was hoisted.
