STF arrests woman with drugs in Kandy

A woman (43) with 28 drug stamps and other drugs has been arrested by the officials of the Special Task Force Camp in Digana Ambakote in Daulagala Dodanwala area of Kandy.

The suspect, who is said to be the wife of an instructor of the rugby team of a leading girls’ school in Kandy, was found with 33 pills and 920 mg of Kush.

Based on the information that the suspect has been selling drug stamps and pills since some time, a team of Special Task Force officers patrolled the road she was travelling and found this drug in an emergency search and handed her over to the Kandy Police for further investigation.
