Suspect arrested over Athurugiriya timber mill owner’s killing

The officers of the Athurugiriya Police have succeeded in arresting the criminal who had run away after hacking to death   the owner of Lakmini Saw Mill and a carpenter who was employed there.

A senior police officer stated that the suspect is a person with no permanent residence and was in Moratuwa area when he was arrested. Investigations have also revealed that this suspect, who frequents areas like Koralwella, Moratumulla, is related to the timber industry. He had committed the crimes on May 2.
