Suspect claims he did 19 contract killings for underworld bosses including Madush

The Colombo Crime Division stated that a suspect who was arrested with narcotics and is being held on detention orders has claimed to have committed 19 contract killings.

The suspect has also said during the interrogations that he fulfilled the contracts of several powerful people of the underworld including Makandure Madush.

This suspect, who is also an Army deserter, has been identified as Nilantha Kumara alias ‘Thangalle Sudda’.

Based on the information revealed during the questioning of this suspect, who was arrested at Colombo Fort, the officials of the Colombo Crime Division have also found a locally made firearm hidden in Unawatuna.

A senior officer of the Colombo Crime Division stated that although this suspect has said he committed 19 murders, this is yet to be confirmed and further interrogations are continuing.
