Suspect held with 2,000 foreign cigarettes

Navy and Police arrested a suspect along with 2,000 foreign cigarettes in Ja-Ela on March 17.

SLNS Gemunu in the Western Naval Command and Ja-Ela Police carried out the combined operation. A suspect was searched on suspicion and 2,000 foreign cigarettes were found as the suspect was carrying them to sell.

The suspect is a 21-year-old resident of Ragama. Together with 2,000 foreign cigarettes, he was handed over to Ja-Ela Police.
