Suspect in cables theft case remanded

Attanagalle Acting Magistrate Siripala M.Pathirana on Saturday ordered to remand a suspect who had allegedly stolen cables worth Rs.160,000 from a construction site of the Central Expressway, till March 29.

Pallewela Police had arrested the suspect while he was carrying the cables from a three-wheeler. The suspect is a resident of Kelaniya.

The Police said that investigations were on to arrest two more suspects, who were absconding the Police, in connection with the same case.
