All three cricketers are planning to play in the US under the coordination of a former captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket Team.
“We have received information regarding this move and if that’s the case, we are unable to prevent them from travelling to the US,” the source told the Daily News yesterday
The three cricketers were fined US $25,000 by a special five-member disciplinary committee and recommended a two-year cricket ban.
However, SLC later amended the recommendations after consulting their Ex-co and increased the fine to Rs. 10m, imposing a two-year ban on international cricket along with a six-month domestic ban.
It was also decided to implement a two-year suspension after the end of the one-year international cricket ban.
The three cricketers were charged for breaking the bio-secure bubble, sneaking out of a hotel without prior permission and bringing disrepute to the country while on a tour of England.
