TCG Kinaliada arrives at Colombo Port
TCG Kinaliada of the Turkish Naval Forces arrived at the Colombo Port on a visit yesterday (9). The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with Naval traditions.
The 99.5m long ship serves in the Turkish Naval Forces and she is manned by 152 as crew members. The ship’s Commander is Serkan Dogan.
The Commanding Officer of the ship called on the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Saman Perera at the Western Naval Headquarters. During the ship’s stay in Colombo, the crew members are expected to visit some of the tourist attractions in the country.
TCG Kinaliada will depart the country on July 11. The ship will engage in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with a Sri Lanka Navy ship in Colombo seas.
