Tea planted in Dompe, Attanagalla coconut lands
Under the programme to develop tea cultivation in coconut plantations, an area of 315 acres of tea has been cultivated in Dompe and Attanagalla Divisional Secretariat areas.
The Meethirigala Tea Smallholders Development Society has organized a workshop to inform the growers
about this tea cultivation, tomorrow (29) and 50 tea cultivators will visit the Kuruwita Tea Research Institute and the Avissawella Tea Factory to learn the production process.
Meethirigala Tea Smallholders Development Society’s Padmasiri Wijesuriya and Ranasinghe, the tea inspector, have organized these activities together in this workshop with the aim of further development of the cultivation.
