Teacher remanded for assaulting Attorney

Homagama Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura yesterday ordered the remand of a schoolteacher who was arrested for verbally abusing a female Attorney and assaulting her at her office located near the Homagama Magistrate’s Court till today.

The teacher, a resident of Artigala in Meegoda had paid money to obtain a legal service from her. However, the suspect claimed that the service has not been done properly and demanded her money back. She has been assaulted after she refused to give the money back to him.
