‘Teardrop Nation’ can help Sri Lanka reflect on past successes and failures: Sajith Premadasa

Sarah Kabir’s documentary ‘Teardrop Nation’ could help Sri Lanka understand its past successes and failures and draw lessons for the country’s future, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said.

He made these remarks attending the premier of the film produced by Kabir.

Premadasa said the film offered an opportunity to examine issues critically and constructively, question past decisions and learn from the lessons presented to move the country forward.

He also commended Kabir, saying she had set aside her political views to carry out her creative work impartially, sincerely and transparently.

Premadasa said the public should understand the lessons conveyed by the film and commit themselves to rebuilding the country and improving the well-being of its people. (Newswire)
