Teens who stole laptops, money arrested in Vavuniya

Puwarasankulam Police arrested two teenagers who had removed the roofing tiles and entered into a house where a group of female students studying at

Vavuniya University were staying and stole five laptops and an electric kettle on Tuesday (7) .

These two students are residents of Amman Kovil Road in Sivapuram, Vavuniya. They are two brothers from the same family,aged 16 and 17.

Police said that 05 female university students are staying in this house. They also said that the two students had entered the house between 1.00 am and 6.00 am day before yesterday (7), by removing the roof tiles and had taken Rs.13,400 from the living room. It is said that while these students were running away with the five laptop computers and an electric kettle belonging to the university students, the neighbours had caught them and handed them over to the police due to the screams of the students.
