Theft of gold ring worth over Rs. 100,000

The Kurunegala Police has started an investigation into the theft of a gold ring worth over Rs. 100,000 from a house in Malkaduwa, Kurunegala, belonging to a bank manager.

The thief entered the house by breaking down the kitchen door and had stolen the ring which was in the dresser drawer of the bedroom. Police say that the theft took place between 11.00 am and 10.30 pm on March 25.
