Theft of Rs.4.4 million gold items

The Kopai Police received a complaint on Wednesday (2) that someone had stolen gold items worth Rs. 4.4 million from a handbag of a woman who was going home after attending a ceremony held at a temple in Kopai.

Police say that she is a resident of Kopai, Nirveli and is a businesswoman. The Police also say that she has kept the gold items in her handbag for better security.
