Thieves rob over Rs. 3 Mn worth of items from Bambalapitiya house

Thieves broke into the house of an engineer residing in a housing complex on McLeod Road in Bambalapitiya and stole cash and gold items worth more than Rs.3 million on Tuesday (3).

According to the police, they entered the house by breaking the kitchen door of the house and stole gold items worth Rs.3,060,000 and foreign currency worth Rs.10,000 from the bedroom closet.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the Bambalapitiya Police has started an investigation.
