Thomians Mahith and Dineth in 306-run stand
Lumbini College Colombo secured a 10-wicket victory against Ananda College Colombo in their fixture of the Under 19 Inter Schools Two-day Cricket Tournament at Ananda Mawatha yesterday. Praveen Maneesha of Lumbini Colombo claimed 7 wickets for 39 runs in the first innings.
Lakvin Abesysinghe’s all-round performances led Dharmaraja College, Kandy to an innings and 3-run win over Zahira College Colombo.
Mahith Perera and Dineth Goonewardene of S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia made an unbroken 306-run stand for the 4th wicket off 322 balls. Right-hand skipper Mahith Perera scored unbeaten 151 runs in 147 balls with 16 boundaries and 3 sixes, and left-hander Dineth Goonewardene scored unbeaten 150 runs in 184 balls with 15 boundaries and 5 sixes.
