Those with 10% success with files will have 10% success in governance too – Sugeeshwara Bandara
Leader of the Nava Janatha Party Sugeeshwara Bandara on Tuesday said that JVP which could not run even a small institution like Anti Corruption Secretariat during the Yahapalana Government is now talking about running the country.
“We have learnt that out of the 400 files that the Anti-Corruption Secretariat had handed over to Yahapalana government Prime Minister and present President Ranil Wickremesinghe, only forty files had been real cases. The balance 360 had been useless. The JVP which could not run even a small institution like that secretariat is now talking about running the country” Sugeeshwara Bandara said.
He made these remarks on Tuesday addressing his party’s Central Colombo meeting. Bandara who was also the Private Secretary of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa observed that given the success rate of the JVP at the Anti-Corruption Secretariat, the success of the party when running a country, is likely to be ten percent.
“That means if they initiate ten projects nine out of ten will be flops” he added.
“What the country needs right now are not theories. The world has moved forward beyond obsolete theories. There’s no place for isms like socialism and communism. We only need a leader who is open minded and pragmatic. We have already found one. There’s no need to look elsewhere” said Bandara.
