Those who are talking of Premadasa senior should recollect how hundreds of people disappeared under the rule of Premadasa senior,

SLFP Senior Vice President Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said.

He said that those who set transformers on fire and destroyed the country’s democracy have started speaking about the importance of democracy.“People should think of their past activities before voting for them”, Professor Piyadasa said

Speaking at the launch of a website in Kandy yesterday Prof.Piyadasa said that those who are speaking emotionally are dishonest and opportunistic. “Those who remember the assassination of Richard De Soyza, Premakeerthi De Alwis, Thevis Guruge will never vote for those who are trying to deceive the people by putting on white clothes.

He said that not a single journalist disappeared under former President Maithripala Sirisena’s rule and the Right to Information Act and Independent Commissions were brought to parliament under his leadership.
