Three arrested with cannabis

Padaviya Police arrested a hotel owner and two military personnel with cannabis during an operation to nab drug traffickers in the Padaviya Parakramapura area.

A 35-year-old businessman who is the owner of a hotel in Padaviya Parakramapura was arrested first by the Police. The Police also found four kilogrammes of cannabis in his possession. A soldier and an Army deserter had been arrested with 250 grams of cannabis.

Police say that the Army deserter is a 32-year-old resident of Gannewa, Udagama while the soldier is a 33-year-old resident of Janakapura. The suspects are to be produced in Court.
