Three arrested with forged visas

CID officials at the Katunayake Airport had taken into custody three persons on Wednesday (16) who had been preparing to leave for   the United Kingdom using fraudulently prepared visas. These three individuals are residents of Jaffna and Mullaitivu. Investigations have revealed that they had paid Rs.2.5 million each to travel abroad.

The CID has launched an investigation regarding the persons who had prepared these fraudulent visas for these three individuals.The suspects who were produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s Court were remanded for 14 days.
