Three dead in three-wheeler crash in Narammala

Three people were killed after the three-wheeler they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry at Kivulgalla in Narammala on Saturday, Police said.

A woman who sustained severe injuries has been admitted to the Kurunegala hospital and she is in a critical condition, according to the Police. Two men aged 50 and 53 and a 61-year-old woman from the Kelaniya area had died in the accident.The driver of the three-wheeler had died on the spot and the other two had succumbed to injuries at the hospital. The driver of the lorry has been arrested in connection with the accident.

The four people in the three-wheeler were travelling to Anuradhapura to participate in an alms giving at a relative’s house, Police said.
