Three Eminent Writers honoured with Sahitya Ratna Awards at 2024 State Literary Ceremony

The 2024 State Literary Awards ceremony took place on September 27 at Temple Trees, under the auspices of Cultural Affairs Minister, Professor Hiniduma Sunil Senevi. The event honored 4 prominent Literary figures from Sri Lanka’s English, Tamil and Sinhala Literary spheres with the prestigious Sahitya Ratna Awards.

Professor Walter Perera was recognised for his contributions to English Literature, Annalakshmi Rajadurai for her remarkable service to Tamil Literature, and Professor Jinadasa Danansuriy for his outstanding contributions to Sinhala Literature. About 47 other awards were presented to Literati who contributed to the field in English, Tamil and Sinhala.
