Three including Parliament Police Constable arrested on robbery charges

The Wellampitiya Police yesterday arrested three people, including a Constable of the Parliament Police, who, along with three drug addicts, were involved in  looting money and property by breaking into the houses of drug traffickers and posing as officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau.

Investigations have revealed that the Police officer who is a constable has been engaging in these robberies along with two people who are addicted to the drug ‘Ice’.

The team is said to have targeted drug dealers posing as Policemen on drug raids. They had targeted small-scale drug sellers in various parts of Colombo.
