Three OICs removed, eight CIs made OICs

The Inspector General of Police with National Police Commissions approval has taken steps to remove three OIC’s from their positions and appoint nine new OIC’s for Police stations.

Accordingly Akuressa Police Station OIC Chief Inspector S.S.Jayaweera has been transferred as Galle Headquarters OIC and the Giribawa Police OIC Chief Inspector U.B. Arunasiri for general duties in Monaragala Division, Bakkiella Police Station OIC Chief Inspector I.D.K.Iddagoda at Theldeniya Division for general duties, Udawalawa OIC Chief Inspector T.B. Pilapitiya has been transferred to the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau. Eight chief police inspectors who were engaged in normal duties have been made OICs.
