Tipsy SI piggybacking on Police bike arrested

The OIC attached to the Community Police Unit of the Eravur Police Station who had allowed a civilian to ride his official motorcycle while he was sitting on the pillion seat, has been arrested. Investigations have revealed that the OIC was under the influence of liquor.

This officer is a Sub-Inspector. Police said that he was transferred from Wan-Ela Police Station to Eravur Police Station. It has been revealed that he had behaved under the influence of alcohol in a way not suitable for a Police officer when he was working at the Wan-Ela Police Station, and that is why he was transferred.

The Eravur Police Station OIC has also informed the highest ranking Police officers to take a decision regarding this officer because he is behaving indecently under the influence of alcohol. According to information received by the OIC of Eravur Police Station, that this officer rode in the pillion seat of a police motorcycle and a civilian was driving the motorcycle, a group of officers were sent and he was brought to the police station and was arrested for behaving violently in the Police station and was taken to the Kandivali Police Station and kept locked up in the cell.He was interdicted yesterday.
