TNA delegation to meet PM Modi on 13A

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Leader R. Sampanthan and a group of others are scheduled to travel to India next week to discuss the 13th Amendment to the Constitution of Sri Lanka with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TNA Vanni District MP Selvam Addikalanathan said.

He said that the TNA made this decision subsequent to a discussion held with Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka who has been here for a long length of time.

He said that they will discuss with the Prime Minister of India a number of issues that could not be resolved regarding the problems of the Tamil people.

He also said that discussions would be held with the Prime Minister of India on the implementation of the Article 13 of the Constitution and the possibility of holding Provincial Council elections.

The TNA leader will be accompanied by Selvam Adaikalanathan, Dharmalingam Siddharthan and M.A. Sumanthiran.
