Trials for Sri Lanka Men’s basketball team

The Sri Lanka’s Men’s Basketball Team concluded their national trials on Sunday leading up to the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Championship, which will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh next month. Conducted over two weekends the trials included 61 players and was pruned to 20 and will be further reduced to 15.

The national selection panel will announce the final pool shortly. The trials were conducted with the players undergoing Rapid Antigen Tests ahead of each day.

Along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan will take part in the competition. The top three teams will then qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup Pre-Qualifier.
