Trinity retain unbeaten Schools Rugby League title

Trinity College, Kandy retained the Inter-School Rugby League title after defeating St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya 20-7 in the Cup final on Saturday.

The victory saw Trinity complete the season unbeaten and secure the league championship for the second consecutive year.

The Kandy school had earlier claimed the President’s Trophy knockout championship, defeating Royal College Colombo.

Zahira College finished runners-up in the league standings after one of their strongest seasons in recent years, while St. Peter’s College ended the campaign in third place. (Newswire)
