Trinity stickers regain Neville de Alwis Memorial Shield
Trinity College beat S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia in the 19th under 20 annual hockey encounter to regain the Warden Neville de Alwis Memorial Shield at the Asgiriya Internatioan Stadium. This time Trinity College won the under 16 game too to take the B.S.G. Sahayam Trophy. Then in the Old boys game Old Thomians playing a good game of hockey were able to beat the Old Trinitians to win the Mirzan Ousmand Challenge Shield. All three games were played under the distinguished patronage of Nahil Wijesuriya the Executive Chairman of East and West PLC. The annual hockey encounter between Trinity College and S. Thomas’ College came into existence in the year 1950 and since then the fixture has been a regular event in the calendar.. The silverware for the encounter was first introduced in the year 2003 in memory of the former warden of S. Thomas’ College Dr. Neville de Alwis.

Deva Ellepola heads Trinity Hockey Foundation
The third Annual General Meeting of the Trinity Hockey Foundation was held at the Old Trinitians Sports Club on Saturday. The first AGM of this committee was held on June 29 2018 at the Red Wood Lounge at the BRC where Deva Ellepola came in as president and still he is there due to his good work. Patron, Principal TCK Rev. Father Araliya Jayasundara, Vice Patron Amitha Nugawela and Advisory Board Members Dr. Sapumal Dhanapala and Attorney -at-Law Saa’di Wadood.
The new committee is President – Deva Ellepola,Vice President – Rajiv Renganathan, Secretary – Fazeel Fawmy, Assistant Secretary – Anton Rajendra and Treasurer – Wije Dambawinna. The committee was formed with hockey promoters like Wazeer Muhkthar, Sanjeewan Subramaniam, Krishanthan Subramaniam and Vinothraj Yogarajah
