Tuition classes prohibited from midnight October 11
Examination Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara has informed that tuition classes for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will be prohibited from midnight on October 11 until the examination is over.
The Grade 5 Scholarship Examination for the year 2023 will be held on October 15 at 2,888 examination centres.
Organizing and conducting tuition classes, lectures, seminars, and workshops for examination candidates, printing and distributing guesswork papers, and displaying posters, banners, and handouts have been banned.
The Examination Department had informed that publication or possession of such materials through electronic or printed media or social media networks is also strictly prohibited after midnight on October 11. If any person or entity acts in disregard of these orders, that person or entity shall be guilty of an offence under this Act.
If any person, institution or other party violates these orders in any way, a complaint can be made to the nearest police station, Police Headquarters or the Examination Department.
