Police have arrested two persons who stole a stock of urea fertilizer valued at over Rs.3.6 million from a terminal at Colombo Port.
Police said 425 bags of urea fertilizer were stolen from a stock of fertilizer imported by a prominent company in Sri Lanka.
According to a complaint made by a wharf clerk to Police, the two suspects were arrested along with the stolen fertiliser.
One of the arrested suspects, a resident of Thalangama works as a clerk in a private company.
The second suspect is a 53-year-old driver from Batagoda.The two suspects were produced in court.
