Two arrested with heroin and ‘ICE’

The Special Task Force (STF) arrested two suspects with 1 kilogramme and 235 grams of Heroin and the ‘ICE’ drug in their possession at Attidiya and Ratmalana on Thursday, Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said.

The street value of the drugs is said to be more than Rs.12,350,000. The suspects were handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau.

One suspect (32) was taken into custody with 400 grams of Heroin and Rs. 94,040 cash in his possession at Attidiya together with a mobile phone and two bundles of paper used for wrapping the drugs. The Police Spokesman said the other person was identified as a 39-year-old individual from Kandana. He was arrested when a vehicle was inspected at Narammala and 30 grams of Heroin and 805 grams of the drug ‘ICE’ were discovered.
